Mawson Lakes
Mawson Lakes
A fully planned residential development with quiet streets and a village hub.

Mawson Lakes, Adelaide (10-20km)

OK - you are either into these sorts of residential developments or not. Mawson Lakes is a purpose built 'perfect world' north of Adelaide's city centre. If you are moving to Adelaide to work in defence or to study at the University of South Australia's Mawson Lakes campus, or if you just like brand new homes, then Mawson Lakes is a good place to live. There's a man made lake; a community hub with cafes and shops; a running track; golf course; technology park; plenty of new housing that's gone up catering for families, couples, professionals and students; quiet streets; and a long, winding creek. Everything here is new. Fab or fake? (More info below and to your left <<<)

All Mawson Lakes houses use recycled water for their gardens and toilets.

The main shopping comples is on Main Street and despite the fact that this suburb is new, it already has a community feel. The shopping area is attractive and well planned.

Most people who live here have an above average income, compared to the rest of Adelaide.

While there are plenty of buses and train services to Mawson Lakes, most residents and workers here prefer to use cars.
