Victoria Park
Victoria Park
A low key suburb just south of Perth

Victoria Park, Perth (south)

Vic Park as locals call it, is one of the most multicultural suburbs in Perth. It’s the go-to place for Asian food and groceries. Tired of burgers and pizza? Vic Park has plenty of Malaysian, Himalayan and Japanese food on offer, along with the usual assortment of cafes and supermarkets. And if you are feeling like a change of hairdressers, there’s a good number of Korean salons to choose from. Vic Park makes the cut because of its location, just a couple of kilometres south east of the city centre. But because of its location, it’s also a major transit point with the Albany Highway cutting through it. This means, things can get pretty hectic during peak hour. Thank goodness buses have got their own lanes!

Victoria Park has good access to public transport with a train station and bus services. It’s bordered by the Swan River, has plenty of apartments, there’s nothing outstanding about the architecture with your basic new townhouses and brick homes.
When it comes to politics, this is more of your left leaning territory.
The suburb is also close to the popular Burswood Entertainment Complex but not too close that you would be bothered by noise from the building.
