A village feel and plenty of tree lined streets. More a suburb for families and quieter professionals than party goers.
North Ryde, Sydney (north shore)
If you want to live in a pleasant, low key suburb with a lovely village feel, and you work in the IT industry, or pharmaceuticals, or Macquarie Hospital, or go to Macquarie University, then this is the place for you. North Ryde does not have a personality that screams out at you but it is easy on the eye, and a good, mainstream choice for this part of town. It's also the birthplace of the Granny Smith apple!
