Hi, I'm moving from the Uk to Melbourne in (hopefully) August. I have 2 young children and a dog so I would like to go to a quiet(ish) suburb but one that doesn't cost the earth. My hubby will be working in the city but is happy commuting (he's used to a 1 1/2 hour journey to London). Ideally I would like to be close to the beach but as long as I have open space I'm not too worried. The main things I'm looking for are nice suburb suitble for families, affordable and safe with good schools. Hope somebody can advise me....Thanks
