Commute from Newtown to Norwest Business Park 2008/03/06 14:13 Karma: 0
Need urgent advise. How difficult is it to drive from Newtown to Norwest Business Park for work and also back from work ie during peak hour.

It appears to be only 25km away. So, will it take more than 1 hour by car.

Public transport is definitely more than 1 hour.

My job hunt's been frustrating so far. Had to turn down 2 interviews coz 1 is in Wollongong and the other in Norwest.

Now I am looking to apply for another in Norwest

I reckon it'll take you about an hour even if you use the M2 and M7.

I have a friend who travels from Petersham to Parramatta every day and it takes her an hour each way.

It's a long drive and she's sick of it.

Thanks for the info. I think I might actually try going there first before I apply for it.

Good idea. You can work out if you can handle the long drive or whether it might incite road rage.

Given you live in Newtown, you should check out a good and cheap thai place down the southern end of king St. It's called Ladda's.

I turned down the Norwest place. I looked at it and I would be spending lots of time on the road and a bit of money as well. Thanks for the info.

Havent tried Ladda's yet, but I am sure I will get around to it.

Another one I saw in the same area is Doytao Thai. It's always packed at dinner time and it's got good rating on eatability.com too. Ithink I am gonna try that next
