Transporting cars from Perth to Sydney 2008/01/03 16:09 Karma: 0
Was wondering if anyone has transported their cars interstate, perhaps from Perth to Sydney, vice versa. Which company did you do it with, how much was it and how long ago was this.

The cheapest I have so far is $800 with auto-logistics.com.au via truck.

Hi. $800 sounds reasonable to me. I recently inquired about having my car transported from Sydney to Melb and it was going to cost $500.

I haven't transported a car across, but I've driven between Sydney and Perth a few times. With current oil prices it's going to cost you $500 in petrol at the very least. And then there's a few days food and board to consider. So $800 doesn't sound unreasonable to me. Good luck.

Thanks guys.

I think I agree. I havent found anything cheaper since. The rail comp havent replied to my email. I might ring them, but doubt it will be any cheaper.

Cheers.

The rail company (indian pacific) - gsr.com.au finally came back to me. It's $699 for unaccompanied car. How about that.

There's a height limit of 1.57m, but I only have regular sedan, so no worries there.

Pleasantly surprised.
