im a 2nd year student at adelaide university. Im thinking about studying at another uni for either a semester, a year or more with a friend of mine. Im looking for places along the east coast, sydney, where id be living near other young uni students, where its not too expensive (cause im.... well im a uni student so im broke) but where its not impossible to get to uni - does such a place exist?

Which uni are you going to in Sydney. If it is Uni of Sydney, it is located in the inner west.
I stay at Newtown and it is a quick bus ride to Uni of Sydney. It's not cheap - I am paying 250/week for studio. But food here is cheap and plenty and social activities too. Other suburbs within easy commute - enmore, erskinvile, darlington, glebe.

If you are thinking of Uni of NSW, look at Randwick because there are plenty of uni students there. Kensington is close by too and is a bit cheaper but not as interesting as Randwick.
