Yarraville, Melbourne (inner west)
Vibe: creative community
Location: Bay, 5-10km from city centre, Near VU
Rent: apartment rents are in the lower to mid range, house rental prices are higher
If Williamstown is the snob end of Melbourne’s inner west, Yarraville is the alternative community minded hip style-meister. And ya gotta love the gay boys. Had they not begun moving into Yarraville about 15 years ago and injecting life into the place, it would probably still be down and out. Now, Yarraville has a sausage king, a cinema, bars, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, organic food, and great yoga. (More info below and to your left <<<)

Congee is rice porridge. Sounds yucky to the uninitiated, but its quite nice especially on cold nights that we have these days.
Anyway, Superbowl is located on Dixon St. Went there with my old man. Had the Seafood Congee and also the Pippies with XO sauce - dun ask me what XO sauce is, I have no idea. Initially thought it was Cognac - LOL.
Oh and get them Chinese donut thingys (YouTiau) to dunk into your congee.
Spent about $35 which was reasonable.

Post edited by: gfrylives, at: 2008/06/04 17:47
