I went to an interesting cafe in Annandale for lunch last Sunday. It's called The Gallery cafe on Booth Street.
There are smaller tables, a communal table, and I think it may have garden tables as well but I can't be sure. There is artwork on the walls for sale. The food was good and the service was friendly. We didn't book and they still found space for us but I would imagine it would be best to book if you were going at a busy time.
