Location: Beach, Bay

Vibe: black, shiny 4WDs on parade

Rent: 2bdrm house $350 - $800

Man, come to Brighton on a weekend morning and you'll see what this place is all about. Firstly, you have to say Brighton with a refined accent. Brighton is an affluent, upper middle class, picturesque, family oriented, beach and bayside suburb in Melbourne's south east. It's popular with the over 45s crowd, and has its fair share of matronly style women with big blonde hair, bling and 4WDs (SUVs). (More information below... )

Hi Gfrylives,

Looks like you've made it to Sydney. Hope all is going well.

If you look under "musts" on the home page, you will find three suggestions for yum cha. All three are bloody good.

They include the Marigold in Chinatown in the city, Sea Treasure in Crows Nest and a place in Chatswood.

The Marigold is a personal fave.

Cheers and happy chowing.

You won't go hungry here.

Good luck with the move.
