Anyone been to the Barrington Tops. I have heard a bit about this place for bushwalking.
What is it like - water features, lush green, alpine.

Not been there, have heard of it and I'd be keen to find out too. If you get there before I do, drop me a line.

Barrington & Glouster Tops are both fantastic places to walk. Sub Alpine marsh and snow gums up on top of the plateau with great Antarctic Beech and gum forests on the slopes. At the bottom of valleys (eg Williams and Allwyn rivers)there are beautiful sub-tropical rainforests. There are plenty of trails and, potable water and campsites.
Highly recommended

Sounds great. Definitely on my todo list, when I get to Sydney in Feb and get my car over.
Thanks for the info.
hobofriend, do you have any other recommendations for camping, especially short pack carry trips in NSW near sydney.
