Location: Beach, 5-10km from city centre
Glenelg is the best known beach suburb in Adelaide. It's got a busy shopping strip, good access to public transport, schools, eclectic architecture, and is a tourist draw card. It's the Bondi of Sydney but with fewer young people. During weekends and holidays this place gets packed with kids of all ages who head to the amusement park, while adults gravitate to the beach or one of the many cafes. Glenelg used to be a quieter place but development in the 1990s began transforming the suburb into what some locals think has become a rather ugly duckling. Sorry, I'd like to help but I have no idea. All I know is you have to be reasonably fit to do most of the walks and to keep an eye out for fire danger days. It might be worth your while to go to a bigname camping store eg paddy palin or Mountain Design etc and see if anyone there can help you. or you can try the NSW parks and wildlife website.

Not to worry. I like my hiking. So I think I should be fit enough for it. I bought a map with tracks of the area. I shall start from there I guess.
