Location: Beach, 5-10km from city centre
Glenelg is the best known beach suburb in Adelaide. It's got a busy shopping strip, good access to public transport, schools, eclectic architecture, and is a tourist draw card. It's the Bondi of Sydney but with fewer young people. During weekends and holidays this place gets packed with kids of all ages who head to the amusement park, while adults gravitate to the beach or one of the many cafes. Glenelg used to be a quieter place but development in the 1990s began transforming the suburb into what some locals think has become a rather ugly duckling. I have tried the suggestions others have made and now believe I have found the very best hairdresser in melbourne.
the place is called 96 degrees in the shade.
40 Pin Oak Cres, Newmarket/Flemington.

It's directly opposite the Newmarket train station. There is no sign, just a big frosted window.
I just walked in and made a booking with Kelly. And I am relieved to say she has given me the best haircut I have had in a long long time.
These guys used to be booked out months in advance but the eco recession has opened them up a bit.
Not cheap. Kelly cost me $75 for a cut but it was well worth it.
