Location: Beach, 5-10km from city centre
Glenelg is the best known beach suburb in Adelaide. It's got a busy shopping strip, good access to public transport, schools, eclectic architecture, and is a tourist draw card. It's the Bondi of Sydney but with fewer young people. During weekends and holidays this place gets packed with kids of all ages who head to the amusement park, while adults gravitate to the beach or one of the many cafes. Glenelg used to be a quieter place but development in the 1990s began transforming the suburb into what some locals think has become a rather ugly duckling. Hi,
If you want to find running shoes that will fit your foot properly, go to a place called The Runners Shop on Clovelly Rd in Clovelly.
The guy who runs it is a former marathon runner and he can tell you what sort of shoes you need, and what will be good for your feet if you have problems like fallen arches, bunyons etc.
Apparently plenty of serious sports people go there, and lots of chiro's and podiatrists recommend their clients go there too.
