Indooroopilly

    Indooroopilly, Brisbane (6-10km west)

Rent: rents are in the medium range

Vibe: convenient, shopping central

Location: River, Parks, 5-10km from city centre, Near Uni of Qld

Indooroopilly is the major shopping, medical and transport hub in Brisbane's western suburbs. It has a large mall and good train and bus services. Indooroopilly is very popular with professionals, and students from nearby Queensland Uni. Housing here ranges from new apartments to townhouses to renovated Queenslanders. This is a large, rambling suburb dissected by several major roads, which stop the suburb from having a coherent feel. Until you get to know your way around the shopping area, things can seem a little confusing. Navigating all the main roads that go through Indooroopilly can also be a bit of a pain until you become more familiar with the area.
The good thing about Indooroopilly is that because of the large number of students, there is a great variety of cafes and restaurants to choose from. There is also a good, cheap art-deco cinema (El Dorado), in addition the Megaplex in the shopping mall. (More info below and to your left <<<)

Judith L. Reczek.jpgJudith Reczek

Judith L. Reczek is what you can call a citizen of the world. She was born in the north east corner of England, and after a short stay in Canada, the family up and moved to Melbourne, Australia. After a few years the family headed west to sunny Perth. After High School Judith was restless and decided to move to Norway, where her mothers family are from. Six years later Judith returned to Perth for some much needed vitamin D! Aside from travelling, Judith's passions include the finer things in life: food, wine, music and art.

For cityhobo.jpgBronwyn Fraser

Bronwyn Fraser is, first and foremost, a writer. She is also an obsessive over-thinker, bargain-hunter and gamer. Though her specialty is writing about and for the emerging medium of video games, her skills with a pen (or keyboard) make her adaptable to many different forms of journalism. Born in Kent in 1993, Bronwyn is currently Perth-based, and tries very hard to keep her English heritage as secret as possible, as the editorial committee she hopes to crack are strong cricket-followers and if they knew otherwise she could kiss the position good-bye. So sshh.

yanginglin2.jpgLin Yajing

I am a keen traveller and grew up in China. Three years ago I moved to Perth. It is not easy being a foreigner in a different place. Luckily, the sunny beaches, yummy food, and friendly Aussies bring me lots of happiness. I love discovering and challenging myself. Travelling with friends around WA is one of the best thing I have been experienced. I always enjoy sitting in a beachside cafe, having a cappuccino and chatting with friends. I am addicted to delicious cakes and sweets, but I'm not a big fun of Vegemite.
My dream? To discover more of beautiful Western Australia and collect more unforgettable memories.
