Sun, sand, blue skies and Greek Yum Cha. What? Yep, there’s a Greek Yum Cha place in Brighton-le-Sands (a world first???). The flavour of this suburb is decidedly souvlaki and tzatziki, opa! There are Greek cake shops, coffee shops, cafes and even a Greek Australian Sports Hall of Fame. This is family and couples wanting to have kids territory.

Beach, Outer suburb/neighbourhood
Brick family homes, 70's apartments
Would Suit:
Professionals, Families

Greek holiday
If this suburb were a shoe, it would be a canvas sneaker
Brighton-Le-Sands is definitely a family place so expect to see plenty of kids and parents at parks attending sporting events on Saturday mornings. Couples are also attracted to this bayside locale. Plenty of residents make use of the long, long walking track along the beach.
Speaking of the beach, it’s got great white sand and views across Botany Bay to the airport and a refinery. The architecture is a mix of brick post-war homes, many with aluminium windows, and apartment blocks.
Parking is usually manageable. The vibe: Greek holiday. Shoes: canvas walking shoes. Would suit: ages 30+, families. Location: beach. Distance: 12km from the city centre. Direction: South.
