Harbour views, a good village atmosphere and the home of the Australian Prime Minister.
Kirribilli 2061
Kirribilli is the cultural pick of the lower north shore. It’s one of Australia’s oldest and most affluent suburbs. Kirribilli's shopping precinct is small, with a casual and relaxed village feel. There are a few walking tracks offering stunning views across the harbour. For an unbeatable view of the Opera House, go to the corner of Kirribilli Ave and Beulah St and snap away. Kirribilli is Aboriginal for "good fishing spot". (More info below...)

If this suburb were a shoe, it would be a Gola (running shoe), and black work shoes
The village has old style shops mixed in with vibrant cafes that attract crowds on weekends and warm weeknights. Kirribilli has a mixture of old terraces, modern high-rise apartments and older style apartment blocks.
During the 60’s, it attracted the arty crowd. These days it is home to students, families, singles, professionals, retirees, and pensioners. Kirribilli has very easy access to the city. Take the train or the ferry. Parking can be a bit tricky but certainly not impossible.
The vibe: coffee time with relaxed high flyers. Shoe equivalent: Gola, black work shoes. Would suit: ages 28+, achievers, and people who are after a relaxed lower north shore version of Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay. Location: harbour. Postcode: 2061. Distance: 2km from the city centre. Direction: North.
