There are a handful of flats and apartments in Turramurra but for the most part, this place has medium to large family homes, many set on large blocks of land with plenty of trees.
The local shopping centre is perfectly functional and self contained. It makes a nice change from the chaos that comes with most large shopping centres. Turramurra has a good range of shops and eating places with an emphasis on Indian food.
