HOT SPOTS in Woolloomooloo, Sydney (east)

The walk to Mrs Maquarie’s Chair and Opera House along the harbour. Spectacular views.

Harry’s Café de Wheels on Cowper Wharf Roadway for its cheap pies. There’s a vegetarian option. Great for late night snacks or if the expensive cafes on the wharf don’t fill you up.

Otto – on the wharf at Cowper Wharf Road – Voted Sydney’s best informal Italian restaurant. This is where the moneyed, suits, and those in the know like to go. Yeah, it’s good but also pricey and you may leave feeling hungry.

Toby’s Estate Tea and Coffee – 129 Cathedral St – hooray, a good tea place. Also does good coffee and snacks.

The Steak and Ale House at Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel for its good selection of food and interesting range of beer. Relaxed setting.

Tilbury Hotel – off Cowper Wharf Road – pub/restaurant/bar - for its modern interior and drinks.

Water Bar – W Hotel, Cowper Wharf Road – great cocktails. Great mojitos.
