Two inner city suburbs in transition from poor working class to arty and young. 

Brompton/Bowden, Adelaide (0-5km)

Brompton and Bowden are two interesting suburbs. They were once heavily working class with small cottages. Large areas of the suburbs were once home to light industry and factories. Now, plenty of factories have been knocked down, making way for new townhouses, many are of the el cheapo variety. A few students, professionals and arty types have moved in, giving the suburbs an alternative edge and cudos. It won't be to everyone's liking but it is close to the city, and offers a community vibe. (More info below and to your left <<<)
