This is not a trendy suburb, but it is an historic place with a pleasant and relaxed feel. It's on the bay, has a good town centre, a train station, fab views, walking paths and picnic spots. Sandgate's popularity has been rising in recent years, because of its high quality lifestyle. On the down side, this means property prices here are no longer cheap.

This suburb is mostly made up of freestanding houses, with a recent increase in new apartments.
