A wealthy, family friendly suburb in Perth's exclusive west.
Claremont, Perth (west)
Claremont is a wealthy suburb in Perth’s prestigious west. It has several things going for it: location, convenience, atmosphere, good shopping and transport. Claremont is one of Perth’s older suburbs but it doesn’t have an old feel. Lots of apartments have been built here in recent years, and sit side by side with large, stylish, and well kept family homes. Claremont has leafy streets, a hospital, plenty of good schools nearby, and regular train and bus services to the city centre. Joggers and fans of picnics will love the large lake and numerous parks.
And if you’re hoping for a more happening lifestyle, don’t fret because Claremont is well known as a shopping destination. There are plenty of shops and cafes on the suburb’s streets, and there’s the Claremont Quarter - a two-storey shopping haven offering mostly high-end labeles and nice restaurants. Fans of Italian and Japanese food will do well here.
Some of Perth’s best known landmarks and venues are here including the Claremont Showgrounds where the annual Perth Royal Show is held, and the Claremont Oval which is home to the Claremont Tigers football club.
Property here is not cheap. In fact some prices are ridiculously expensive.
