Shopping in Bondi Junction

If this suburb were a shoe, it would be a black work shoe, runners, and thongs

In recent years numerous high-rise apartment towers have been built to cater for the expanding population. It's not a cheap place to live, but if you like socialising and living close to the city, and you are single or a young-ish couple, this is not a bad option.

Bondi Junction has a massive shopping complex with every shop imaginable. The shopping centre bulges at the seams on weekends and can test anyone’s credit limit and patience. Shopping in some of the smaller shops on local streets can be more enjoyable.

Bondi Junction is a short bus ride or drive away from Bondi Beach, Paddington and the city. It's also near UNSW, the University of New South Wales (a 20minute bus trip), and it's a 12minute train ride to the UTS. Parking can be hard but not impossible. The vibe: shop til you drop. Shoe equivalent: upmarket walking shoe, thongs. Would suit: ages 18+, shopaholics, professionals, singles, students, travellers. Location: close to beach. Distance: 6km from the city centre. Direction: East.
