Indooroopilly is the major shopping, medical and transport hub in Brisbane's western suburbs. It has a large mall and good train and bus services. Indooroopilly is very popular with professionals, and students from nearby Queensland Uni. Housing here ranges from new apartments to townhouses to renovated Queenslanders. Compared to many Bribane suburbs, Indooroopilly lacks the quieter feel in the main shopping area. Until you get to know your way around the shopping area, things can seem a little confusing.
Navigating all the main roads that go through Indooroopilly can also be a bit of a pain until you become more familiar with the area.
The good thing about Indooroopilly is that because of the large number of students, there is a great variety of cafes and restaurants to choose from.
There is also a good, cheap art-deco cinema (El Dorado), in addition the Megaplex in the shopping mall.
