This is not a big suburb, in fact, it is a subsection of another suburb called Newstead.
It's unique architecture has made it a magnet for those wanting something a little different. The old woolstore buildings are prime real estate, but so too are some modern apartments.
The Teneriffe Boardwalk goes for quite a distance along the Brisbane River. It gets plenty of use in the mornings and evenings.
There is just one bus line that services the area. Most people who live here have a car.
If you like travelling on ferries, you can take the cross river ferry to Bulima where there are more transport and cafe options.
Parking can be a nightmare. Vibe: professionals on the way up. Shoe equivalent: Aquila, stilettos, running shoes. Location: Brisbane River. Distance from city centre: 3km. Direction: east. Postcode: 4006
