Nielsen Park – a great beach with large colonial era outdoor changing rooms, a kiosk, restaurant, and big park. And yes, the views are sublime.


Milk Beach - a secret family beach hidden behind Strickland House. Walk down the steep driveway and across the lawn to reach the beach. Spectacular city views and a near empty beach will be your reward. Picnic tables nearby.

Vaucluse to Dover Heights Federation Cliff Walk. It’s 3km. Allow two hours.

Hermitage Foreshore Trail from Shark Beack to Rose Bay. Great views.

Macquarie Lighthouse - at Dunbar Head. It was the first and longest serving lighthouse in Australia. It still is fully functional.
